An Hour With: Codename Cure

See that image above? No, I didn’t get my grandparents dog to make that, it’s the logo for the game I played over the weekend. Codename CURE, a free to play, early access zombie game, which are becoming quite a common sight on the Steam Store right now. Go see the logo on Steam because I kid you not I’m not making this up. I haven’t seen this type of master class editing since Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

Achievement Unlocked – Cubot: The Complexity of Simplicity

Gamerscore Available: 1000G
Gamerscore Achievable: 1000G

Wow, I actually had to go outside and get a £10 gift card to get this game, yeah, outside. Was bloody raining as well. Anyway, that’s not the point, I got that voucher with the sole reasoning of buying some Xbox One games with some easy gamerscore, I’ve gotten three (so far) and this is one of them.

The five saddest Comedy TV Show moments

I wouldn’t say I’m a TV Show buff, but I’ve definitely watched my fair share of TV Shows, so to commemorate their hard work, I thought I’d list my top five saddest moments, because we all like a good cry now don’t we? I’ll also include sketches from sketch shows because like most of these episodes it’s usually just a short segment of the episode. Obviously there’s going to be a fair few spoilers for a few shows so you’ve been warned.

Ewan Rants: Bethesda, Doom and Game Reboots

I noticed a theme being set at this years E3, not only by Bethesda, but developers and companies alike. A lot of reboots, remakes and re-releases have been planned for this year and a lot of them were released last year. It confuses me to be honest. Look at the past few years of gaming, especially the Xbox One, a lot of re-releases of games that have already been out a few years prior. So, remember, these are my OPINIONS, I can’t stress that enough, I probably touched a nerve last time with some people.

Achievement Unlocked – The Walking Dead S1

Platform: Xbox One
Time to Complete: 12 – 15 Hours
Gamerscore available: 1000G
Gamerscore achievable: 1000G

Before we begin, I must point out, this is not a review of any type, I’m going to go over why this game is beneficial to achievement hunters out there and how it’s an easy game for them to boost their gamerscore on.

For those who haven’t played The Walking Dead games, they are beautiful masterpieces created by Telltale Games who made the similar Tales from the Borderlands and Back to the Future game series’. Not only are they fantastic games, they’re even better for achievements. Continue reading “Achievement Unlocked – The Walking Dead S1”

The Grand Re-opening

Oh yeah baby, I’m back.

Well, not back, more or less, I’m back to my own blog.

Not even that really, and I’m not sure why I’ve began writing a sentence per line and extending the length of each respective sentence each time. Anyway, I’ll clear up the big thing right now. No, I haven’t left updownright.com. Far from it actually, I love working for updownright and it’s been an amazing break for me and I’ve got the extreme pleasure of being allowed on board with the team. I’m really appreciative of the work and progress we’re making.

So why bring back your own blog if things are going so well? Well, I can do whatever the hell I want, so up yours and I also wanted a sort of home away from home. My little gift to society, where I can post some exclusive posts, some of my best work from updownright and maybe even bring the review series back in all of it’s “glory”.

Be sure to subscribe to this (or whatever it is that you do, I think you send your email or something, no clue) and I’ll get to work on creating a schedule and making everything oh so fancy.

I need to stress this though: 2016 is a very busy year for me. I’ve got exams and a lot of stuff going on including writing two books, two TV Shows, early, early days of making a game and my apparent lust for learning the guitar. Also my commitments to updownright will instantly outweigh this blog, this is just a place where I can break away from gaming and such and maybe do something a bit more personal (however games will be the main focus).

Now if only I could figure out how to change the damned font…
